Greenacre provides training for donors, grant managers and project managers on due diligence of potential grant partners. Topics covered include:

  • due diligence of potential grantees;
  • identifying and managing the risk of fraud, bribery, corruption, money laundering, terrorism and terrorist financing;
  • risk management;
  • complying with international and UK legal obligations, including:

Support on Managing Grants in High Risk Environments

Greenacre has delivered major projects for foreign funders in high risk areas, and has also trained or supported local agencies implementing similar projects. We specialise in the development and implementation of projects supporting community organisations in high risk circumstances where grant managers must balance impact with risk.

From our experience in areas including Lebanon, Pakistan and Indonesia, we have materials and methodologies to ensure the safe and effective delivery of projects in the most challenging environments. We can provide training, support, mentoring or oversight to your team of local managers. Our products include methodologies and tools for:

  • identifying and vetting potential grantees, partners or staff (including due diligence);
  • monitoring projects, including baseline assessments, monitoring and impact assessments; and
  • risk management.

We also provide awareness raising training on issues including fraud, terrorist financing, money laundering, corruption, bribery and security.
